Ötztal Tourismus is the destination marketing organisation for the Ötztal valley in Tyrol, a region that runs from the Inn valley floor up to the glaciers above Obergurgl and Sölden, and one of Austria's strongest year-round mountain destinations. Their summer positioning leans on high-alpine terrain that most visitors associate with winter, which makes events like the Gletscher Trailrun a key part of how the valley communicates its summer identity. They needed content that carried the altitude and the atmosphere of the race, not just its results.

Project overview
The Gletscher Trailrun Gurgl is one of the highest trail running events in the Alps, a race that runs straight into glacier terrain above Obergurgl, in the back of the Ötztal valley. For the 2026 edition, Ötztal Tourismus needed coverage that matched the scale of the course without turning it into a highlight reel of finish-line faces. The brief: one 60-second aftermovie and four social reels, each with its own narrative angle, produced end to end by a single person, concept, on-location production, drone, and post.
Coverage spanned multiple race distances and locations across the course, from the Piccardbrücke crossing to the high-alpine sections around the Ramolhaus.

Results
A 60-second aftermovie and four social reels, each cut for a different purpose: one carrying the emotional arc of the race, one built as a lettering-driven narrative, and two shaped around the athletes and the terrain. Delivered in 16:9 and 9:16 for Ötztal Tourismus channels. Concept, photography, video, drone and post production — alpinetides studio.
